She also accepted the Katma Award for a paper written with former KNZ LTER grad student, Dr. Elise Shogren and Jeff Brawn, University of Illinois. |
Prescribed burns have little effect on snake populations |
A study on the impact of prescribed burns on the Konza Prairie showed that fire has minimal effect on the state’s snake populations, especially when there are adjacent unburned areas. |
